About Us

We are the city’s first “green” school and our building is designed and constructed in accordance with environmentally friendly building standards, including the use of solar panels, natural lighting, and energy efficient design. The proceeds from our fundraising efforts are budgeted for school enrichment programs and educational materials not funded by the NYC DOE, such as music and art programs, reading recovery, math coach, Spanish, chess, teacher development, teacher assistants, writing workshops, technology program, classroom supplies and more.
